Hospice Hope is Charitable Incorporated Organisation.
The situation in North West Leicestershire for people with life life-limiting conditions has changed little in the last 15 years. There is still very little choice.
It became very apparent some eight years ago, that if anything was to be done, then we would have to do it ourselves. To do this we have set up three weekly drop-in Support Groups, called Support Cafés
Since 2012, Hospice Hope has gradually expanded to three Support Cafés, located in Ashby, Whitwick and Ibstock. All three are run by volunteers and offer a welcoming environment to our guests, the chance to receive support, meet people in similar situations and enjoy complementary therapies, activities, and refreshments. We also offer a volunteer driver service, enabling guests with transport difficulties to attend. Our Support Cafés are open to patients and carers alike.
We are opening our fourth Support Café, this time in Castle Donington on 1 April 2019.
April 2017, we opened Hope House in Griffydam. Here people with life limiting conditions can spend a day in a peaceful and tranquil environment; receive a complementary therapy and an excellent lunch. Transport to and from Hope House is provided by volunteer drivers and there is no charge for any of the services provided.
Hope House is now open two days a week on Mondays and Thursdays, and we hope to expand to a third day in early 2019.
Hospice Hope is committed to being at the centre of providing for the people of North West Leicestershire with life limiting conditions and ensuring that they have the love and the care that they deserve and need.
